The ground floor of this house design features three bedrooms, one kitchen, a grand size living room, separate dining area and a verandah. One the ground floor, we have kept two toilets (one with Indian style commode and one with western commode) and a separate bathroom where a hand pump will be installed with a motor for water supply. That's how the bathrooms and toilets are supposed to be made in most of the houses in villages, and hence this layout.

The first floor of the house is designed a little differently, which is supposed to be occupied by the children who need more privacy. On the first floor of this duplex house plan, we have provided three bedrooms, two attached bathrooms and one common bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have an attached bath and balcony that opens towards the back side of the house which has green open space. We have also provided a huge size living and sitting area, along with an open terrace towards the front and a verandah in the southern side.

For this duplex house exterior elevation designs, the client wanted something simple which can easily be replicated and constructed by the village contractors. Hence, we tried to keep the exterior design of this duplex house as simple. But, we still wanted it to look modern, upscale and luxurious and therefore we have tried simple exterior elements like iron frames, concrete bars, textured exterior wall tiles which are being complemented by simple off white, dark gray and maroon exterior colors.

The exterior structure of the house has a very simple and straightforward design so that it can be built without any complications. However, we have used a few bars and grills in the open terrace and the verandah of the house to make it look a little luxurious and rich. For the colors, we have used off white as the main color on exterior walls, and deep gray as the complimentary color to highlight a portion of the exterior wall.

We have also used tiles on the exterior wall in the open terrace and verandah portion of the house. The open terrace and verandah can be decorated with potted plants and can be used as a sit out area. On the rooftop of the house we have designed a small deck that can be used to place a swing.
